Jr Sailing Adventure Class
About this event
Created for sailors age 9-13, the objective of the Adventure Class is to provide an opportunity for kids who want experience on the water and in boats. The goals of this class are to reinforce and/or teach the basics of seamanship, which will enable sailors to gain the skills necessary to be comfortable on and around the water. Some possible activities could include: sailing in different types of boats, exploring local areas, knot tying, navigational skills around our area, environmental conservation, field trips to local businesses that interact with the sound, and understanding the weather, among other activities.
The class will run Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 2-4 pm.
