Summer Staff
We have a staff of about 40 instructors who handle our sailing, sports, swimming, and tennis classes along with programs such as golf, theater, lacrosse, fine art, and crafts each summer. Most of these are high school and college students who have had club or varsity level experience with these sports or activities, and who have worked with children. Most have also participated in Yacht Club programs as youth and are familiar with the programs and operation of the club.
These instructors also supervise our youth afternoon and evening activities and help with our weekend adult activities. Both daytime and night hours are required. In addition we have an operations/office staff, staff for our GLPYC Outfitters Store and a maintenance staff for our youth and adult activities and tennis tournaments. Staff must commit to an entire summer’s employment with no breaks for camps, travel, or other activities.
Age Requirements:
15 and older by July 1, 2024 to be considered for an instructor position
14 and older by July 1, 2024 to be considered for a facilities position
